1926 London-Brighton Relay (1 of 2)

In Palace Yard, Westminster, the teams line up for the London to Brighton Relay Race the fore-runner of today's National Road Relay. Entry to the race was by invitation only. In charge of the first stage, for Belgrave H., was Harry W. Bruce, father of our long time member Arthur 'Boofer' Bruce. Harry is the third runner from the left wearing race number B1. Peering over Harry's right shoulder is Jock McKay, on hand to give last minute advice.
