1937 Belgrave win Au Cross du Metro

January 19th, Belgrave take on an international field at Le Croix de Berny, about 12 miles from Paris, hosted by L'Union Sportive Metropolitain. The start was fast and the Bels were adrift, but then Pat Parker decided it was time to take the claret and gold forward, followed closely by Tom Carter, and soon they were running 5th and 6th (as pictured) with the rest of the Belgrave train in tow in the 'teens.' The final result was a win (51pts) from a Moroccan squad (130) and a Belgian team (156).
