1930 Jim Tosh wins Inter-County half-mile from Tommy Scrimshaw

Stamford Bridge, August 23rd. Early in August Jim Tosh had the measure of Tommy Scrimshaw in the Club Championship 880 yds - and he did it again three weeks later at the Inter-Counties Championship. Well back at the bell Tosh (25), representing Hampshire, had given yards away to the Middlesex Champion Scrimshaw (37), but a powerful sprint over the second lap took him to a last stride victory. Was there ever another Belgrave 1-2 at the Inter-Counties?
