1964 Dave King on his way to 3rd place in the London to Brighton Walk
September 5th. In his first ever "Brighton" Dave King excelled to place 3rd in 8 hrs. 46 mins. 7 secs. behind George Hazle of South Africa and Peter Selby of Surrey WC. King's performance meant that he was the winner of the "Belgrave Cup" for the Club's long-distance walking championship. The refreshment being handed to him by ex-international George Williams appears to be a bottle of Guinness!
