1954 Bob Taylor on Road Relay duty

April 10, London to Brighton National Road Relay. It was a good day for the Bels as they raced to second place behind South London Harriers. Bob Taylor was in charge of the 9th stage from the Castle Hotel, Hickstead, to Dale Hill. He remained in 3rd place throughout his stint but caught up 48 seconds on the Beagles, laying the foundation for a successful attack on silver medals during the next stage.
